VADIS is basically an industrial laptop PC which can be connected to a Volvo car by means of the VCT-2000 adapter unit, and can be used to read out diagnostic information from the vehicle and download new software to it.

Popular Mechanix has made this significant investment in hardware, software and technician (and owner) training and now has the Volvo factory VADIS computer diagnostic system!

This allows us to now offer full diagnostic troubleshooting services for customers with 1999 and newer Volvo vehicles.

If we discover a problem we believe is covered by your new car warranty we will bring this to your attention.

If we discover a problem that appears to be covered by factory warranty we will bring this to your attention promptly and you may then decide you'd rather bring the car to the Volvo dealer of your choice for warranty repairs. We believe this is the only ethically correct way to handle the situation.
